Every year our Police Department has the honor of hosting our Heroes and Helpers event, a joint effort with local retail stores to provide children and families who have experienced trauma & abuse, a chance to experience a night of joy while fostering stronger relationships with the Officers who serve our community.
For the past few years, when financial support was hard to find, we turned to Sertoma of Watauga for help. Without their continued commitment and financial support, this annual event would not have been possible.
I was so impressed with Sertoma of Watauga's compassion for the children and their families they serve, that I became a member myself!
